English: An underwater shot looking up at a palm tree and clouds distorted by the ripples on the surface. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Ripples, a chain reaction,
dominoes tripping design in relief,
a smile, a frown,
someone’s joy, someone’s grief.
Turn right, turn left,
move straight ahead,
journeys far-flung from each other,
you’re there, I’m here instead.
A single shift of the eyes,
a sideways glance,
I missed something, saw another,
changed the fortunes of chance.
@Janet Mitchell, January 2013

Wonderful poem! I especially like the last four lines – they are so true. We can’t see it all, so we’re always missing something. Haven’t seen you post here in a while, so I’m glad you’re back
Thanks for stopping in, Janna! Yes, the paths our lives could follow are endless, huh>
I love this – changed my day.
Thanks for stopping by to say hello! I’m glad this poem changed your day!
The other day, I fully realized with clarity what oneness really is … all of life is created from the same Intelligence and is in a dance that affects one another. Makes me wonder if chance and ripples would exist if we really were seperate …. Enjoyed this poem as it made me think!
Thanks, Marie, for reading. Have a good day today
