Ripples

Ripples, a chain reaction,

dominoes tripping design in relief,

a smile, a frown,

someone’s joy, someone’s grief.

Turn right, turn left,

move straight ahead,

journeys far-flung from each other,

you’re there, I’m here instead.

A single shift of the eyes,

a sideways glance,

I missed something, saw another,

changed the fortunes of chance.

Wonderful poem! I especially like the last four lines – they are so true. We can’t see it all, so we’re always missing something. Haven’t seen you post here in a while, so I’m glad you’re back :)

The other day, I fully realized with clarity what oneness really is … all of life is created from the same Intelligence and is in a dance that affects one another. Makes me wonder if chance and ripples would exist if we really were seperate …. Enjoyed this poem as it made me think!
