Silence is a healing balm,
put away the mental clutter,
observe,
feel the calm.
Replace the noise with what you feel,
make no judgment,
shut the chatter,
that will heal.
Watch your pet or a blossoming flower,
think only of its velvety coat,
sense,
its soft, life-promising power.
Touch a surface, run your fingers along,
know only its texture,
listen, with your fingers,
feel its song.
Count your heart beating, its course,
passing through your body,
breathe,
take in, let out, sans force.
Smell the morning dawn,
the dew drops melting scents
into the air,
listen: there’s your inner psalm.
This one is for Marie,
close your ears,
look around and know,
be in awe at the newness you see.

Silence brings us closer to God and help us listen to our soul. A lot of times we are on the move, almost constantly talking or being engage with the world around us. We need to pause, be silent and listen to that heavenly whisper. I totally agree to this beautiful, inspiring post. Thanks…
