In the past few years, I’ve seen some amazing people do some very amazing things. I admire them, I am in awe of them. I’ve watched a daughter survive on two hours of sleep a night, for months at a time, caring for her dying mother, her husband, and her son. This, because of love. This, because her love was stronger than any physical needs she may have had. She showed me how powerful love is.
I’ve seen so many people do such things, and I cannot even conceive of how they managed to do what they did. I don’t know if I could do it, although I hope I would.
Thanks to all of those people who showed me the invincible, awesome power of love, which gives the strength to do that which is impossible; they showed me that what we think we cannot possibly do, we can do, with the power of love. Thanks for those gifts they gave me, in showing me that. I will be forever grateful.

It is our spirit that comes through when the need calls for doing amazing things and your post reminded me of this. You don’t, I think ever have to worry about not having done enough in this planet- your work as a Hospice nurse is an amazing gift to others which most of us don’t have the courage to do.
Thanks, Marie. You’re very kind and warm-hearted.

Thanks again, Ray!
It is amazing to me what people can do WITH the support of HOSPICE! I will NEVER forget the conversations in the hall with my hospice nurse and social worker the day my mom died. I was able to break through barriers I never thought I could ONLY because Hospice was there and patient and loving. My mothers breathing changed, her demeanor changed with the help of words given to me by hospice.
Here is to Hospice helping those of saying goodbye help our loved ones go with grace and dignity.
Peace, Jen
I have tears in my eyes, running down my cheeks. Maybe I did do something that helped, along my hospice journey. Thank you, and I’m glad we helped you out. I miss the families and patients of hospice, since I’ve retired from it…
I agree….I find it truly amazing how some people can reach down deep and extend so much love and care to others… a true inspiration..
Yes, it is indeed. Powerful doesn’t even touch describing it, does it?
