It takes courage to love. Because, always, someone loses the other. Someone walks away, someone dies. And I’m not sure which is the lucky one? Is it worth the risk of pain to love?
I’d say, yes, it’s worth all the risk of pain in the world. To have never known love, so lonely, so empty. Safe? Yes. Full? No.
If I had a chance, again, to love and to lose, I’d choose love.
I’d choose to love, then try to live again, try to push through the pain of loss.
What would you do?

Thanks, Ray!
Oh, definitely love…absolutely. I’ve gone through this with our pets. Whenever I lose one, I swear it hurts too bad and I won’t do it again…but I always do. Can’t help it
Me, too!
Janet, I love the photo, goes so well with the post. it’s beautiful!
And… I would choose love even at the risk of suffering a loss. I often think about this, that I found true love late in my life as the previous relationships were very unhealthy, and I know one day it will end through one of us dying and it makes a little sad, even if I know we survive as souls. Loving reveals so much about ourselves and adds a depth to our lives.
